Education & Training

Dr. Parminter received his B.S. degree in Biology from the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. He then received training in dental technology at the Dental Technology Institute in Orange, California. He earned his DDS degree and graduate prosthodontic certificate from the University of Southern California. Following completing his graduate training he accepted a faculty position as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at U.S.C. which he held from 1993-2002 and 2009-2012. He taught all aspects of restorative dentistry and the associated laboratory procedures.

He has been a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is currently a member of the American College of Prosthodontists. He has served as a member of the peer review for the California Dental Association. And he has been a faculty member of the Advanced Restorative Institute in Pasadena, California.

Dr. Parminter has lectured and published on the topic of implant prosthodontics, and has lectured nationally and internationally about prosthodontics and treatment planning. He currently maintains a full-time private practice limited to implant and reconstructive dentistry located in West Los Angeles, California. He was also the Director for several courses at The Herman Ostrow School of  Dentistry at the University of Southern California, between 1993 and 2012.
